Here are some local projects with liberation-based politics:

Bloomington Anarchist Black Cross – A group focusing on solidarity with anarchist prisoners, prisoners of other liberatory struggles, and individuals engaged in prison rebellion.

Bloomington Solidarity Network –  An organization dedicated to fighting against the abuse of tenants and workers, and aid in their empowerment.

Boxcar Books & Community Center – A volunteer powered organization that hosts events and sells new and used books, zines, magazines, and comics on topics of liberation, DIY culture, and fiction.

Indiana Recovery Alliance – A participant-driven harm reduction project that aims to collaborate with people in making self-directed positive change in their own lives.

Kite Line RadioA radio show amplifying the voices of those within Indiana’s prison system, while encouraging dialogue with those on the outside.

Midwest Pages to Prisoners – An all-volunteer effort that strives to encourage self-education among prisoners in the United States by sending books, zines, and other materials into prisons throughout the Midwest.

Plain Words – A website and publication that spreads news and analyses of interest to anarchists, radicals, and others in struggle in and around Bloomington, Indiana.

Rififi – An aggregate of news and events from a variety of sources and liberatory tendencies.

Students Against State Violence – A student group at Indiana University that is building a movement against patriarchy, white supremacy, socioeconomic inequality and imperialism.
